Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business
Development Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for
creating and implementing strategies to improve the hospital's market position
and achieve financial growth. This role involves building key customer
relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating, and closing
business deals, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market
conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement growth
strategies in line with the hospital's vision and mission.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and identify new
opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships
with key clients, stakeholders, and community leaders.
- Fundraising and Grant Writing: Seek out and apply for grants
and manage fundraising initiatives to support hospital projects.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing
team to promote the hospital's services and enhance its public image.
- Financial Management: Work with the finance department to
prepare budgets and ensure that all business development activities are
cost-effective.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage various projects,
ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team, fostering a
collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on progress and
challenges to senior management
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing,
or related field.
- A Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development,
preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare market and the
unique challenges faced in Kenya.
- Proven track record of generating new business and
achieving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal
skills.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work
collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
